Samsung gives the iPad stiff competition with a 10.1inch tablet!

I just read from Gizmag has released new versions of the Galaxy phone and Galaxy tablet!
Here is a photo of the upsized 10.1 in tablet.

Isnt the Galaxy tablet also a phone? talkandroid. Maybe some distributors do this on purpose to add more features at a higher price?

Unbelievable Price for Tablet: 16,500 pesos??!

Click on Sulit.com. Be careful as the pic shows it is from dhgate, a Chinese wholesaler. but the ad is enticing to say the least!

Amazon current best price for the Samsung Galaxy is US 629.99$ with a contract from T-Mobile. That tranlates using 44 pesos per dollar to 27,719.56 PHP.

I was canvassing the device in Mega recently and the average price was around 29,000PHP. My students claim that they saw the Galaxy tablet being sold for 25K Pesos in SM at San Fernando.


Compare with the original 34,995 PHP prices last December 2010. Stores will tack on extra interest payments for those wishing to pay monthly installments using credit cards!

Sugggestion: Wait in March-April. Apple will introduce a new model iPad in March. No news about the availability of Motorola's Xoom tablet in the Philippines.
